Russia coach Oleg Romantsev is waiting on the
fitness of a trio of players as he begins his final preparations for the Group H
opener against Tunisia on June 5.
Aleksandr Mostovoi, Veaceslav Daev and Yuri Nikiforov are all undergoing
treatment at the Russians' Simidzu base in a bid to be fit for the big
kick-off.
Celta Vigo skipper Mostovoi was injured against Yugoslavia in the LG Cup
whilst Daev and Nikiforov have suffered slight knocks in training after arriving
from Moscow.
The team doctors have advised all three to avoid training with the rest of the
squad and concentrate on gym work.
