Turkey coach Senol Gunes admits his players
are struggling to come to terms with conditions in the Far East.
The Turks were beaten 2-0 by fellow World Cup finalists South Africa
as Benni McCarthy hit a second-half double for Bafana Bafana.
And Gunes knows his players must quickly acclimatise if they are to make an
impact alongside Brazil, China and Costa Rica in Group C.
"My players are getting tired a lot," he said. "The conditions are much
harder but we have to beat them.
"We noticed that the humidity and the heat takes a great toll on the
players.
"They get tired of the climate and get angry easily. The tempo of the games
are then lost.
"Our opponents had the same problems yesterday but we had a lack of balls
coming from the wings and we will work on that.
"We did find positions but we couldn't score and some of my players
experienced muscle tightness.
"That's why I didn't want to risk them and we had a very light training
session today."
