Carlos Humberto Paredes is Paraguay's only
remaining injury worry after fellow midfielder Guido Alvarenga rejoined
training.
Paredes suffered an injury to his left ankle during the friendly against
Sweden but he is expected to recover by the end of the week after undergoing
treatment from team doctor Porfirio Benitez Musa.
Alvarenga, who was also injured during the Sweden game, has now fully
recovered.
He and Paredes should be ready to play in Paraguay's next warm-up - Sunday's
meeting with Japanese side Reds Diamonds.
Cesare Maldini has announced that he will make some alterations to the side
which beat Jubilo Iwata 3-1 on Tuesday.
Maldini will not confirm full details until Friday, but Alvarenga and
Paredes will replace Gustavo Morinigo and Estanislao Struway if both are
recovered.
