The Italian World Cup squad may have travelled thousands of miles to the Far East but they don't seem prepared to broaden their tastebuds.
Giovanni Trapattoni's men have arrived at the training base which will be their home for a month in Sendai ahead of the big kick-off on May 31.
But gearing up for their Far East World Cup adventure will not include trying out the local cuisine it seems, as the Azzurri have come well-prepared with the largest of food parcels.
The Italians have brought with them, among other things, 1400 kilograms of pasta, 80 kilograms of coffee, 300 litres of olive oil, 400 kilograms of Italian cheese, 2000 kilograms of ham and a hefty supply of Italian wine.
Italy, who were drawn in Group G alongside Ecuador, Croatia and Mexico, kick-off their campaign against Ecuador on June 3.
