Nigeria youngster Bartholomew Ogbeche boosted his hopes of making the Super Eagles starting line-up for their World Cup opener after scoring both goals in a 2-2 friendly draw against Japanese J-League side Yokohama Marinos.

Nigeria, who were drawn alongside England, Argentina and Sweden in Group F, fell behind to a goal from Daisuke Sakata in the 34th minute before Paris St Germain striker Ogbeche equalised.

Yokohama regained the lead with a strike from Daisuke Oku in the 44th minute and went into the half-time break with a 2-1 lead.

But the 17-year-old Ogbeche netted his second of the game with a strike just after half-time to spare his teams blushes.

The Nigerians open their World Cup bid with a tough test against Argentina on June 2.
