RADEBE BACK IN SOUTH AFRICA WARM-UP

By PA Sport Staff

South Africa coach Jomo Sono used 23 players in his side's 1-0 friendly win against Madagascar at the ABSA Stadium as he finalises his World Cup squad.

Orlando Pirates captain Thabo Mngomeni scored the game's only goal on fourteen minutes, with a deflected shot from the edge of the box.

South Africa enjoyed more possession, but struggled to break down a well drilled Madagascar defence.

Sono made 11 changes at the break, with Leeds United captain Lucas Radebe returning to action after an injury-plagued season.

The Bafana Bafana coach announces his final squad on Thursday.

The South Africans leave for Hong Kong on Friday where they face Scotland on May 20 and Turkey on May 23.
