Five more players will join Paraguay's training camp in Italy on Sunday, even though coach Cesare Maldini hasn't yet announced the official squad.

The quintet are all from the Paraguayan club Libertad and will travel to the Tuscan town of Montecatini following the conclusion of their domestic season.

The players, goalkeeper Justo Villar, defender Daniel Sanabria and midfielders Estanislao Struway, Carlos Bonet and Gustavo Morinigo, will be joined on the trans-Atlantic trip by assistant coach Juan Carlos Tavarelli.

The party will also be boosted by four Olimpia players on Friday, after their club plays the Libertadores Cup quarter final match against Boca Juniors.

They are goalkeeper Ricardo Tavarelli, defender Julio Cesar Caceres, midfielder Juan Carlos Franco and forward Richard Baez.

Already in Montecatini are Francisco Maple, Carlos Walls, Diego Gavilan, Guido Alvarenga, Santa Cruz, Jorge Field, Jose Cardoso and Jose Luis Chilavert.

Ricardo Tavarelli is expected to be the goalkeeper in Paraguay's first match of the World Cup, against South Africa, as Chilavert is suspended.
