Daegu is the eastern Korean city where two matches were held in this year's FIFA Confederations Cup. The city has an image of being aware of the environment and 204,000 trees of 56 different species, including pines and zelkovas, have been planted around the stadium to form a natural park.

Places of Interest:
Bulguksa Temple. Mt. Toham stands 745m above sea level in the eastern part of Gyeongju City. Bulguksa Temple is situated at the bottom of the mountain, and Seokgulam Grotto on the ridge of the mountain.
Tomb Park of Jisandong. Dozens of ancient tombs on the ridge of Mt. Jusan which surround the back part of the town display a strange scene. The tombs lined up along the southern ridge of Mt. Jusan are designated as Historical Site Number 79.
Unmun Dam. With the construction of this dam near the temple, this area has become a good driving course. The dam is situated in Daecheon-ri, Unmun-myeon. The road along the shore connects Unmunsa Temple area to the Geoncheon and Gyeongju area.
Mt. Geumosan. (976 m above sea level) is situated in the south-western area of Gumi. Grand rock cliffs and great trees form a scenic beauty
