Brazil midfielder Juninho Pernambucano
has outlined his determination to make an impact at next summer's World Cup.
The Lyon free-kick specialist is likely to travel to Germany as back-up to
playmakers Ronaldinho and Kaka, but he is aware many other players have gone to
a major tournament on the fringes yet emerged as a world star.
Juninho told the Jornal do Brasil newspaper: "I hope this can happen again.
(Coach Carlos Alberto) Parreira knows he can count on me.
"If I can be a starter it would be much better but what is important is all
the squad think about the final result, which is taking the title.
"I really want to be a world champion. I'm preparing a lot for the
competition and I want to be ready to profit from any chance."
Brazil have been drawn in Group F alongside Croatia, Australia and Japan.
