Manchester United midfielder Rodrigo Possebon has joined Portuguese side Sporting Braga on a season-long loan.

The Brazilian playmaker found first-team opportunities limited at Old Trafford after moving to England from Internacional in January 2008.

Possebon, aged 20, made just three starts and five substitute appearances last season

Braga finished fifth in the Liga Sagres last season and will be taking part in the 2009/10 Europa League, formerly the UEFA Cup.

United announced the move in a statement on their club website late on Thursday.

And Possebon told Braga's website: "This stadium is beautiful. I've never seen anything like it.

"I hope to have a great season and help the club.

"I am very enthusiastic about the ambitious project they have showed me. I never had any doubt about accepting this offer."
