Lappin leaves Norwich

Norwich have announced that long-serving midfielder Simon Lappin has left the club by mutual consent.

Lappin arrived at Carrow Road in 2007 and played a big part in helping the club achieve back-to-back promotions, but he has struggled to break in to the first-team during Norwich's time in the Premier League.

"I would like to wish him all the very best for the future," said Canaries boss Chris Hughton, who loaned the 29-year-old to Cardiff earlier this season.
