Coventry have signed Scotland defender David McNamee from Livingston in a deal worth £100,000.
The 25-year-old has agreed a three-year deal at the Ricoh Arena.
McNamee, who has four caps for his country, started his career with St Mirren before spending three seasons at Blackburn.
The right-back then returned to Love Street on loan, before signing for Livingston in 2002.
Sky Blues chief Micky Adams believes the defender will be an excellent addition to his squad as he begins to step up his preparations for the forthcoming Championship season.
Adams told the club's official website, www.ccfc.co.uk: "We've watched David on numerous occasions and know that we have acquired a very good right-back who has excellent defensive qualities.
"In addition to this, he's a confident lad who isn't afraid of getting forward when he needs to and I'm sure that he will settle in quickly as part of the group here.
"I look forward to working with him when the players report for pre-season training at the end of the month."
