On-loan Hibernian striker Sam Morrow has played his last game for Livingston after suffering cruciate ligament damage during the Bank of Scotland Premier League defeat by Inverness.
The forward is could be out of action for up to six months with the injury and has now returned to Easter Road.
Defender David McNamee (hamstring) and striker Noel Whelan (back) are both rated doubtful for the visit of Motherwell, while goalkeeper Ludovic Roy is still out after a hernia operation.
Motherwell manager Terry Butcher has promised to make changes for the clash.
