Livingston manager John Robertson has started preparations for life in the Bell's First Division but will cling to hopes of top-flight survival to the very end.
The Almondvale side will be relegated if they drop a point at home to Inverness or if Dunfermline and Falkirk claim a point from their trips to Motherwell and Dundee United respectively.
But, despite requiring a freak set of results to stay up, the Livingston boss is refusing to cede the team's SPL status just yet.
Robertson said: "Mathematically, we are not out of it yet.
"There's a very slim chance of staying up and, while it is there, we have to keep going.
"If Falkirk or Dunfermline get that point or we don't win, then that's it.
"But we have to be professional. We have to try and win the game and hope there's a big turnaround in goal differences that will help us.
"Our main aim is to compete against Inverness and hope for the best from there on in.
"I have thought about the First Division - I am not going to lie.
"I have started making contingency plans because it is likely we are going down. But, until it is confirmed, we will keep going.
"There have been some crazy results in the past, but it will be tough enough to win all three matches, never mind win them with goal swings that will help keep us up."
Robertson is set to begin contract talks with his squad next week and is hopeful captain Richard Brittain will accept a new deal to stay on at Almondvale.
The former Hearts head coach has also not given up hope of retaining the services of short-term signings Noel Whelan and Colin Healy.
Robertson added: "We will have a chat and ask for their thoughts.
"If it is positive from them, that would be a massive fillip for us."
