Oldham have signed midfielder Kieran Lee and goalkeeper Greg Fleming from Manchester United and Gretna respectively.
Lee - who appeared three times for the Premier League champions - has penned a two-year deal at Boundary Park after his release from Old Trafford.
He told the club's official website: "One of my things was to sign for a local team. Oldham came in for me and it was just perfect for me to sign for them."
Scotland Under-21 international Fleming has signed a three-year deal with John Sheridan's men after leaving the cash-strapped Black & Whites.
The Latics beat Crewe to the youngster's signature after it was revealed on Tuesday that he was approached by the Railwaymen's first-team coach Steve Holland.
"It was a good chance to come down, Oldham are a big club", the youngster told Latics world. "Obviously they have played in the Premiership and hopefully we can look to get back up there soon."
