Scottish One leaders Falkirk began their post-Ian McCall era with a 1-1 draw against title rivals St Johnstone.
The hosts, who lost McCall to Dundee United in the week, went behind when Paul Hartley netted on 25 minutes.
But John Henry grabbed a point for the Bairns with his 62nd-minute goal.
At the other end of the table Alloa hauled themselves off the bottom with a 2-1 win at Ross County.
Robert Sloan was the hero for the Wasps with both goals inside the first nine minutes.
In the only other match to escape the cold snap, St Mirren and Ayr drew 0-0.
