John Robertson had an enjoyable first game as Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager as they hammered St Mirren 4-1.
Goals from Dennis Wyness (14), Ross Tokely (22), Graham Stewart (29) and Paul Ritchie (51) put Caley 4-0 up and only a late goal from Martin Cameron salvaged any pride for the Saints.
That kept them top of the table, level on points with Falkirk, who beat Queen of the South 5-0.
Lee Miller, John Henry and Owen Coyle put the Bairns into a 3-0 lead at the interval and Colin Samuel's nine-minute brace after the break sealed the victory.
At the other end of the table, rock-bottom Alloa were beaten 3-0 by St Johnstone.
The Saints had to wait until the 76th minute for their first goal, but Andy Seaton's strike opened the floodgates.
Ross Forsyth and Tommy Lovenkrands completed the scoring.
Arbroath remain Alloa's closest rivals at the bottom, two points clear after a 4-0 defeat at Ayr.
Mark Campbell, Stewart Keane, Mark McColl and Andrew Ferguson netted the goals.
In the day's other match Clyde and Ross County drew 1-1.
Steve Mackay gave County the lead but Steve Convery snatched a point for the Bully Wee.
