Alloa manager Terry Christie praised his players' efforts after the 2-0
Scottish Cup defeat by Falkirk.
Goals from Owen Coyle and Collin Samuel ensured the Bairns' safe passage into
the quarter-finals at Recreation Park.
But Christie said: "We knew we had to be positive from the start if we were
going to take anything from the tie."
"Their lads played out of their skins in what was really a good performance.
Our game plan worked perfectly and we were unlucky not to take something from
the game.
"There was very little between the clubs but Falkirk are through and I wish
them good luck."
Falkirk player-boss John Hughes was relieved to see his side reach the last
eight.
"The result was everything we expected and after a good second half there was
only going to be one winner."
"The most important thing is that we are in the hat for the next round. I
have no preference about who we get as long as it is a home tie."
