Wolves continued their preparations for the new season with a 1-0 win at Walsall on Tuesday night.

Andrew Surman, who enjoyed a spell on loan with the Saddlers during the 2004/05 season, bagged the only goal of the game after 16 minutes as he fired home a powerful strike from the edge of the penalty area.

Walsall improved after the break and Sam Parkin almost equalised as he hit the post from close-range.

Will Grigg wasted another chance for the League One outfit as Wolves secured the victory.
