A dramatic ending saw Derby clinch a point thanks to an injury-time goal from
Marco Reich against Wolves in the Coca-Cola Championship at Pride Park.
The result means Wolves have drawn five successive matches and 10 in 13 since
Glenn Hoddle took over at Molineux.
But they will go away deflated at failing to win tonight after Carl Cort
appeared to have settled things in their favour with his 90th-minute strike.
Earlier Inigo Idiakez had netted a brace, one a brilliant free-kick and the
other a penalty he had to take three times.
Kenny Miller and Joleon Lescott were also on target for the visitors in an end
to end match with both sides having a host of chances.
Derby opened the scoring in the ninth minute after being awarded a free-kick
25 yards out when Lescott brought down Grzegorz Rasiak.
Idiakez whipped a curling free-kick around the wall which Wolves goalkeeper
Michael Oakes could only watch fly past him.
Moments later Derby almost doubled their lead but Marcus Tudgay's header from
a Rasiak cross rebounded off the base of the right post with Oakes beaten
again.
Wolves were level in the 12th minute following a great run on the right by Rob
Edwards, whose cross from the byline hung over Derby goalkeeper Lee Camp and was
headed in at the far post by Miller.
Derby had a goal chalked off on the half hour when Tommy Smith's cross was
headed back towards his own goal by Lescott and Junior poked the ball in - but
he was in an offside position.
The home side went close straight after the break. Idiakez played a neat pass
to second half substitute Paul Peschisolido, who let the ball run across his
body before drilling a shot from 20 yards just wide.
Wolves surged forward and Miller slid in with a shot which Camp parried -
Ki-Hyeon Seol just had to tap the loose ball home but blasted way over the bar.
A tremendous save from Oakes kept the scores level in the 64th minute.
Adam Bolder drilled a low fizzing shot from at least 30 yards which took a
slight deflection - and it took a reflex fingertip save from the Wolves
shotstopper to keep it out.
Lescott edged the visitors ahead in the 72nd minute with a powerful header
from a delightful right footed cross from Paul Ince.
After Edwards brought down Peschisolido in the box the referee awarded Derby a
penalty - but the controversy did not end there.
Idiakez had to take the spot-kick three times because of encroachment and
Oakes moving off his line but the third attempt was blasted into the net by the
Spaniard, after he had converted the first effort but failed second time
around.
Smith drilled narrowly wide soon after before Oakes saved spectacularly from
Bolder in the last few minutes, tipping his drilled 25-yard effort over the
crossbar.
Wolves took control in the dying seconds of normal time when Miller played
Cort in on goal and he drilled home past Camp for the game's fifth goal.
But in added time Idiakez's cross was met by Reich, who headed home from close
range to clinch a dramatic point for the Rams.
