Wolves defender Jody Craddock has revealed he came close to joining Stoke permanently during a loan spell at the Britannia Stadium.
Craddock went out on loan to Stoke during the 2007/08 season and Potters boss Tony Pulis wanted to make the move permanent.
However, the veteran defender was recalled to Molinuex after an injury crisis and the move failed to materialise.
Craddock comes up against Stoke this weekend and the 34-year-old is delighted he ended up staying at Wolves.
"I had four games with Stoke on loan before being recalled," Craddock told the club's official website. "Stoke wanted to offer me a contract.
"But it didn't get that far and since returning to Wolves things have been fantastic. I've really enjoyed it all.
"Facing Stoke now, though, will be tough. They have just won at Spurs and are a very difficult side to face. It's a real challenge for us."
