Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar will undergo a late fitness test to see whether he is fit to face Wolves at Goodison Park on Saturday.

The South Africa international's knee injury has kept him out of the club's last two matches.

Manager David Moyes is still awaiting the return of USA goalkeeper Tim Howard from international duty.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy will make a late decision on whether to start with Ecuador international midfielder Segundo Castillo.

Castillo has been on international duty in South America this week and McCarthy wants to assess how the long haul back to England has taken its toll on him before finalising his line-up.

Castillo will be keen to figure as he was on-loan at Everton last season.

McCarthy is set to make changes to his side as winger Michael Kightly (hip and foot) and striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake (hamstring) are both fit to return to the starting line-up.

Kightly has not started since March, while Ebanks-Blake was last in the starting line-up on the opening day of the season against West Ham.

Teams:

Everton (from): Howard, Yobo, Baines, Distin, Hibbert, Heitinga, Neill, Cahill, Rodwell, Pienaar, Osman, Yakubu, Jo, Fellaini, Nash, Bilyaletdinov, Gosling.

Wolves (from): Hennessey, Hahnemann, Ikeme, Foley, Berra, Mancienne, Zubar, Craddock, Elokobi, Hill, Kightly, Halford, Henry, Milijas, Castillo, Jones, Edwards, Jarvis, Ebanks-Blake, Maierhofer, Keogh, Vokes, Doyle.
