Crewe goalkeeper David Button has been recalled from his loan spell by parent club Tottenham.

The 20-year-old is back at White Hart Lane to provide cover for Carlo Cudicini.

Harry Redknapp's side host Everton in the Carling Cup on Tuesday night and Button is not cup-tied.

It is the second time Button has been recalled from his spell at Gresty Road, having played in their 5-1 win at Doncaster in the Carling Cup in August.

Steve Collis, Adam Legzdins and recent signing Bertrand Bossu will now compete for the number one jersey for Crewe's game at Cheltenham on Saturday.
