Notts County could make a move for midfielder Ian Ross after he was transfer-listed by Sheffield United.
Ross, 21, spent the 2006/07 season on loan at Meadow Lane, but has been told he is surplus to requirements by the Blades, even though they are currently without a manager.
Blades chairman Terry Robinson told his club's official website: "We are working on a list that (former manager) Neil Warnock was preparing before he left - a list that, of course, might have been slightly different had we remained in the Premiership.
"However, at this stage, we see no reason to change it, and we feel that perhaps it is time for Ian Ross and others to move on.
"So we are open to offers."
