Portsmouth lost the first game of the City of Guimaraes Trophy, going down 2-0 to Vitoria in Portugal.

A youthful Pompey side played the last 37 minutes with 10 men after the first-half dismissal of Paris Cowan-Hall for two bookable offences, with second-half substitutes Rui Miguel (55) and Custodio (87) netting after Morenho had missed a penalty for the hosts.

Next up for Paul Hart's team is a match against Benfica on Sunday.
