Portsmouth struggled to impress as they drew 0-0 against Basingstoke in a pre-season friendly at The Camrose on Saturday.

The Blue Square South side had the best two chances of the match as David Pratt hit the post after five minutes and Jahson Downes fired an effort against the bar just after the break.

David Nugent and Niko Kranjcar both wasted good opportunities for Portsmouth as the home side's goalkeeper Ross Kitteridge produced some decent saves.
