Svetoslav Todorov grabbed a 10-minute hat-trick as Portsmouth ended their Division One championship-winning campaign in style at Bradford.

The Bulgaria striker took his tally for the season to 26 with three goals early in the second half after Gianluca Festa had marked his final appearance for Portsmouth with the first-half opener.

Former England midfielder Steve Stone then got in on the act as Harry Redknapp's men secured only their second win in 14 trips to Valley Parade.

Bradford had made a bright start with Andy Gray curling a free-kick narrowly wide and Ben Muirhead testing Pompey goalkeeper Shaka Hislop from 25 yards before the visitors - roared on by around 8,000 fans - began to find their feet.

The deadlock was broken in the 20th minute when Paul Merson teed up Festa and the defender - who is returning to Italy - beat Aidan Davison with a low left-footed shot for his first goal of the season.

Yacubu Ayegbini was then denied by the feet of Davison and wasted two other decent opportunities, while Robert Molenaar had a header saved by Hislop as Bradford looked to hit back .

Redknapp made two changes at half-time, with Festa and Hislop replaced by Lassina Diabate and Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi respectively, and the visitors took the game by the scruff of the neck with two goals in three minutes.

The lead was doubled in the 48th minute when Todorov sidefooted Stone's cross home and he grabbed his second soon after from Ayegbini's cross.

Bradford almost ended their goal drought - they had not scored in their previous three matches - but Mark Bower's header hit the woodwork before Portsmouth got back on the goal trail.

Todorov was brought down in the box by David Wetherall and converted the resulting penalty for the fourth goal before Stone's well-struck right-footed shot completed the rout in the 67th minute as Portsmouth prepared for life in the Premiership in the best possible fashion.
