Lyon have quashed reports linking goalkeeper Gregory Coupet with a move to Tottenham.
The France international signed a contract extension last summer, keeping him to Les Gones until 2010, and recently won his seventh consecutive Ligue 1 title.
However, Lyon are in the hunt for Nice's Hugo Lloris and the 35-year-old could soon find himself surplus to requirements at the Stade Gerland for the first time in his 11-year career at the French giants.
Reports in France suggested Saturday's Coupe de France final against Paris St Germain could be Coupet's last game for Lyon and strongly linked him with a move to White Hart Lane, but the Ligue 1 champions insist their veteran shot-stopper is going nowhere.
"Lyon categorically deny having received any offer from the English club Tottenham about the transfer of Gregory Coupet," read a brief statement on Lyon's official website.
"Moreover, the club would like to remind everyone of the general fact that no discussions relating to possible transfers will take place before the Coupe de France final at the Stade de France on Saturday in which the club as a whole have all their focus."
