Manchester City's young goalkeeper Nicky Weaver saved his side from defeat
against World Cup-bound Jamaica at Maine Road.
Weaver, signed for £100,000 from Mansfield towards the end of last season,
made a number of brilliant saves to keep his newly relegated club in the game.
Portsmouth striker Paul Hall, Ricardo Gardner, Stephen Malcolm and Peter
Cargill were all denied by magnificent stops from the 19-year-old keeper.
At the other end Jamaican goalkeeper Aaron Lawrence was rarely troubled,
although he made one acrobatic effort to keep out Paul Dickov's deflected
25-yard drive in the 53rd minute.
