Robbie Fowler will bring the curtain down on his Liverpool career on Sunday, but goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek will almost certainly be denied the chance to play in one final game for the club.
Fowler's contract will not be renewed, while Dudek also leaves in the summer. But a groin injury sustained in training today means the Poland international is highly unlikely to be fit to face Charlton.
With Jose Reina nursing a shoulder injury, the chance now is that Italian youngster Daniele Padelli will make his debut in goal, with youth team goalkeeper Dave Roberts on the bench. Boss Rafael Benitez will also bring back the clutch of experienced stars rested recently, although Mohamed Sissoko is out with an ankle problem.
Charlton defender Ben Thatcher returns to the squad following a ban.
But Talal El Karkouri will miss the final game of the season with a foot problem.
Meanwhile, centre-half Madjid Bougherra is in line to make his full debut for the Addicks, and with goalkeeper Scott Carson unable to play against his parent club, Darren Randolph will start in goal.
Dennis Rommedahl is not included in the squad.
