Gavin McCann was on target as Bolton began their tour of Germany and Holland with a 1-1 draw against Borussia Monchengladbach.

The 31-year-old midfielder put the Trotters ahead in the 26th minute with a volley from Johan Elmander's knock-down.

But Raul Bobadilla earned the Bundesliga club a share of the spoils 15 minutes from the end, the Argentine producing a neat finish having wriggled free from Danny Shittu.
