An injury-time goal from Per Frandsen rescued a point for Blackburn to keep
alive hopes of making the Division One play-offs.
Danish international Frandsen came on after 71 minutes to replace skipper Garry
Flitcroft and forced home an equaliser no-one could deny Blackburn after their
dominance in a one-sided game.
But it looked as though Norwich would snatch a vital win courtesy of a
screaming shot from Daryl Sutch after just 25 minutes.
Blackburn were easily the masters, but they were thwarted by a mixture of
resilient defending and poor finishing.
Time without number Blackburn carved open the Norwich defence but just could
not find a route to goal.
Flitcroft, Jason McAteer, Keith Gillespie and Nathan Blake all wasted glorious
opportunities as the fans grew increasingly restless.
But they need not have worried because Frandsen was determined to have the
last laugh.
When it came it was a quality goal, but Norwich pointed angrily at the fact
that the referee added five minutes for time-wasting.
A cross from Callum Davidson was headed across the face of the visitors' goal
by Christian Dailly and Frandsen nipped in to loop the header beyond Andy
Marshall.
Norwich only had themselves to blame for, despite Blackburn's pressure, they
still had the best chance of the second half.
Only Iwan Roberts will know how he missed making it 2-0 on the hour.
A great break down the left by Chris Llewellyn had Blackburn stretched, and
when the ball came across it looked as though Roberts was certain to score.
But the big striker did not get a clear touch and Alan Kelly made an important
save.
