Full-time: Arsenal 4 AZ Alkmaar 1
90: Two minutes of injury time will be played.
88: Arsenal continue to play some neat football and press for a fifth. As I type, Ramsey hits the bar, but the flag was already up for offside.
86: Disappointing for the Gunners to concede, while they remain not mathematically through to the group stage as Olympiakos are still losing versus Standard Liege.
82: GOAL - LENS scores for AZ! Arsenal have appeals for a penalty turned down and AZ counter. Lens is through and fires low past Almunia, who was rather suspect and probably should have done better.
80: Rosicky and Ramsey both combine really well, with some excellent skill from the Welshman. But Romero gathers to halt the attack.
78: Plenty of buzz in the stadium as Arsenal continue to cruise. A clean sheet would certainly please manager Wenger.
75: Arshavin, who has had an excellent game, is replaced by Rosicky.
Seriously, what a goal. The Gunners counter after Eduardo pulls off a brilliant backheel. Arshavin powers through and square to Diaby, who takes a touch and then fires home expertly.
72: GOAL - DIABY scores for Arsenal
71: Wernbloom is on for Mendes Da Silva.
70: Gibbs has a pop with his right foot and the shot skims low and just wide of the post. A decent effort.
68: Romero is called into action as a Diaby header threatens to nestle home. Comfortable enough though for the AZ keeper.
67: Eduardo and Ramsey enter the fray in place of Fabregas and Van Persie.
66: Moisander is booked for a rash challenge.
64: Pocognoli comes on for AZ, replacing Poulsen.
62: Martens has a popped from range but rather skews his effort. The Gunners are well in control here.
60: Jaliens almost gifts Arsenal a goal as the home side very nearly press him into an error. He escapes though.
58: Dembele is replaced by Lens.
57: Woodwork! Pelle hits the bar! A deep cross is headed down to the striker, who fires at goal. Almunia appears to get a touch on the ball and it cannons back off the bar.
55: Dembele has been the only really shining light for AZ. He has looked very powerful and has been a handful.
52: GOAL - FABREGAS scores for Arsenal! AZ lose the ball in a dangerous are and Arshavin leads an attack. He plays a perfect ball into the path of Fabregas, who curls home with aplomb. Probably game over now.
52: Arsenal need to find a balance here. No need to bomb on looking for a third, but to sit back would be foolish as it would invite pressure.
49: AZ counter-attack after an Arsenal surge breaks down. A cross comes in from the left but it is too near Almunia, who claims easily.
47: Lots of early possession for Arsenal. Gallas hits a raking ball through the middle and Van Persie looks to latch onto the delivery, but the linesman's flag is up for offside.
46: Arsenal get the second half under way.
Most Arsenal fans are happy bunnies, understandably. Diaby has had a decent half while Nasri's return continues to be a welcome boost. Also, before the second half starts, a hello to 82-year-old Bob, who is following the commentary from New Zealand.
An ideal half for Arsenal, who could do with Olympiakos levelling in their game to ensure the Gunners are set to book their place in the knockout stage.
Half-time. Arsenal 2 AZ 0.
43: GOAL - NASRI scores for Arsenal. Terrific goal. Arshavin threads a lovely ball through to Nasri who makes a mockery of his marker. He then curls low into the bottom corner to give Arsenal a 2-0 lead before half-time.
43: The cross appears to a catch a deflection off an AZ player and should be a corner, but the referee gives a goal kick..
42: Eboue wins a free-kick in a dangerous area. Chance here for a Van Persie curler from the right flank...
40: Gibbs breaks up play with some fine work and Arshavin finds himself in space. He floats a ball into the area and Romero almost makes a hash of it before eventually claiming.
38: Arsenal look to counter but the final ball is lacking. Fabregas at least wins a throw with some excellent pressing.
36: In the group's other game, Standard Liege are beating Olympiakos, which is not the result Arsenal want if they are to progress tonight.
34: Gibbs bombs down the left and combines with Van Persie. The England Under 21 international crosses to the back post and Fabregas is there, but the skipper cannot keep his head down.
32: Arsenal leave their defence exposed and Holman tries a shot. He hits it powerfully but the effort lacks accuracy and swerves well wide.
30: Martens surges forward and it opens up for him. The AZ player tries his luck but the shot is very central and Almunia gathers with ease.
28: Holman darts into the area and for a moment looks through, but Gibbs' pace sees the youngster clear the ball away from danger.
25: GOAL - FABREGAS scores for Arsenal! Fabregas picks up the ball near the left channel up around AZ's area. He shifts the ball twice onto his right foot and then hits very softly at goal. But the low shot is so well placed that it catches out Romero and rolls in at the near post. 1-0 Arsenal.
25: Arsenal are probing but the rhythm they had at the start is lacking.
22: Nasri finds Arshavin who wriggles well before clipping a ball into the box. But it does not find its way through to a red shirt.
20: Couple of niggly fouls here and there are disrupting the play a little. It has been a good start from Arsenal. They just need a goal.
18: Another bright attack from the Gunners but Van Persie's low cross is cut out. Diaby had made a late run into the box but couldn't be found.
17: Arsenal put another sharp move together as Eboue fires a low cross in from the right. Diaby looks to divert home but his shot is deflected over.
16: Van Persie bends in a wicked cross from the right but clever defending sees AZ hook clear from the lurking Fabregas.
14: Arsenal win a couple of corners in quick succession but despite decent delivery they come to nothing.
13: AZ's wall is situated just off the line and is clearly not as far back as it should be. Van Pesie hammers at goal after being teed up and his strike fires out for a corner.
11: Huge chance for Arsenal. Romero picks up a clear passback and the Gunners have an indirect free-kick from just yards out from goal.
10: Arsenal turn the screw with Nasri heavily involved, but AZ hack clear.
8: Arsenal win a debatable corner but the delivery is poor and a free-kick is awarded for a foul.
6: Arsenal are beginning to find their stride now as they knock the ball around sharply. AZ are pressing well though and seem keen to apply pressure high up the field.
4: Stupidly good move from the Gunners. So many slick passes before Van Persie thunders a strike at goal. Romero makes a fine stop, but a goal kick is given.
3: Bright start from the visitors, who see an attack break down due to an offside. Will Koeman again play defensively?Or will his side look to stun the Gunners?
1: Kick-off: AZ get the game under way, kicking from right to left as I see it.
