Michael Laudrup believes a trip to White Hart Lane this weekend is the perfect contest for his Swansea side who secured their first cup semi-final appearance for 48 years.

Laudrup's men reserved their spot in the Capital One Cup final four with a 1-0 win over Championship side Middlesbrough on Wednesday night.

The Swans join Arsenal's victors Bradford, Aston Villa and either Leeds or Chelsea in the penultimate round next month.

Laudrup said: "It's great to have the semi-final there, but I am happy we play Tottenham away on Sunday.

"That's perfect, because I know on Sunday everyone will be focused once again.

"It would have been much more difficult to play a home game against a smaller team on Sunday or Saturday, so Tottenham away is perfect."
