Rosenborg jumped to the top of the Tippeligaen table after beating IK Start 3-0 in their second outing of the new campaign.
Having drawn their opening match, Rosenborg were in no mood to let more points slip out of their grasp and three second-half goals - two from Frode Johnsen - were easily enough to see off the challenge of Start.
Molde are second in the standings after being held 0-0 at Odd Grenland while Lyn Oslo are third following their 2-1 win over Valerenga.
Valerenga went ahead in the third minute through Allan Jepsen but Lyn Oslo were level within three minutes thanks to Henrik Dahl and the home side went on to take all three points when Ahmad Elrich netted the winner in the 73rd minute.
At the other end of the table, Tromso are bottom after suffering their second successive defeat, going down 1-0 at home to 10-man Stabaek, who lost Mike Kjolo to a red card with 10 minutes remaining but still claimed the win thanks to Daniel Nannskog's 18th-minute strike.
In the other games, Sandefjord beat Ham-Kam 2-1 and Viking FK drew 1-1 with Fredrikstad.
