RAPID ON A ROLL
VIENNA, October 31 (T-Mobile Bundesliga) - Rapid Vienna moved three points
clear at the top of the Bundesliga after a comfortable 2-0 victory over lowly
Sturm Graz.
Two goals in five second half minutes gave Rapid the win required to move
three points clear of FC Superfund and city rivals Austria Vienna in the
standings.
Roman Kienast, who was introduced as a substitute at the start of the second
half, broke the deadlock with a strike just after the hour mark, and an
unfortunate own goal by Ronald Gercaliu secured the win for Rapid.
Graz remain in deep trouble having collected only 12 points from their 15
league games so far this campaign, and they remain second-bottom in the table.
