Esbjerg have won their battle to sign
highly-rated Denmark Under-21 international striker Tommy Bechmann.
The Aarhus frontman put pen to paper on the three-and-a-half-year deal after
initially turning down a four-year contract.
"It is important for me to develop further by playing football full time,"
said Bechmann.
"The new Esbjerg manager, Ove Pedersen, is a coach who believes in young
players and gives them a chance. That was important for my choice of Esbjerg as
my new club."
"The transfer fee has not been disclosed but the player will get 25% of a
transfer fee if he's sold from Esbjerg," Aarhus sports-director Flemming
Povlsen told Ritzau.
Bechmann is the third new signing for the ambitious outfit who are looking to
improve on last season's seventh place finish.
Naestved duo Anders Moller Christensen and Henrik Willow Hansen have also
arrived at the Idraetspark whilst Joakim Persson and Christian Karlsson have
left for Hansa Rostock and AB respectively.
