Former France international Vikash Dhorasoo has ended his lengthy footballing exile by joining Serie A side Livorno on a free transfer.
The midfielder, 33, has signed a one-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months.
He has not played competitive football since being sacked by Paris St Germain in October last year for disciplinary reasons.
Dhorasoo was a member of the France squad that made it to the final of last year's World Cup, before losing to Italy on penalties.
Livorno have inserted a clause in the contract, allowing them to sever ties with the player should he fail to meet the required physical standards.
Livorno finished 11th in last season's Serie A standings.
