Juventus striker David Trezeguet has said he would consider a move to Argentinian outfit Boca Juniors - providing the offer came from Diego Maradona.
Speaking to Argentinian newspaper Ole, the 29-year-old admitted that a chance conversation with Maradona had stoked his desire to return to the country where he began his football career.
Born in Ruan, France, to Argentinian parents, Trezeguet moved to Argentina as a boy, eventually making his professional debut for Platense before moving to Europe, where he cut his teeth with Monaco ahead of his move to Italy.
Trezeguet said: "If Diego requests me, I am ready to play for Boca Juniors.
"I was very young when I left the Argentinian football. I'm not considering a return yet, but it would be very nice to play there. The supporters' passion is unique.
"It is possible to watch Argentinian football on Italian TV. I did not watch enough last year, but I saw the crowded stadiums and I felt the desire to play there.
"It would be a game experience, a human experience - not financial. But I talked with Maradona and I desire to play there some day."
