Bari coach Giampiero Ventura has warned bottom side Siena his players are ready to bounce back from last weekend's loss at Roma when they meet in Serie A on Sunday.

The Galletti, who have slipped to 10th place, lost 3-1 at Roma in the last round but Ventura has told the Tuscan outfit they will come out fighting this weekend.

"Every match can teach you something, result aside, and when you lose it is vital to analyse your mistakes and have the strength and conviction to rise up again," said Ventura.

"We didn't approach the game at Roma in the right manner and we didn't play at our best. Roma scored three goals in their first four opportunities and that was that.

"In the second half we improved but the disappointment remains.

"We had received too much praise before the game at Roma and we lost sight of who we are.

"This week we have been preparing fully for Siena and I see my players have a big desire to win. It is important to go into every game with a winning spirit.

"Siena will arrive in Bari with the aim of taking home some important points but I think we have to focus on ourselves, not think too much about our opponents."

Bari will fancy their chances of taking at least a point from the match as they boast the best defensive line in the league, with just 10 goals conceded in 13 matches.

Siena will look for an improvement under new boss Alberto Malesani when they make the journey to the San Nicola stadium.

Malesani became Siena's third coach of the season when he was handed the reigns after Marco Baroni was released on Monday following a run of poor results.

Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Atalanta was Siena's ninth of the campaign and left them six points adrift of safety, with just one win to their credit all season.

And having witnessed his side crash out of the Coppa Italia at the hands of third-tier outfit Novara on Wednesday, Malesani is under no illusions over the task he faces to save Siena from relegation.

"There is no time for words," he said. "I didn't like how the team played in the Coppa Italia.

"It's clear we have a lot of work to do if we are to fix this situation.

"It is a complicated and difficult situation but I ask my players to reset their minds and start over.

"History tells us that many clubs that were in our position went on to avoid the drop.

"I am extremely motivated and I ask everyone at the club to row in the same direction as we look to retain our Serie A status."

The visitors, who have shipped six goals in their last two games, will be without injured defender Luca Rossettini and midfielder Francesco Parravicini.

Bari, meanwhile, will be missing injured striker Vitalj Kutuzov.
