Hernan Crespo could be the man to tell his Internazionale team-mates how to get on with new coach Jose Mourinho.
The Argentinian striker struggled at Chelsea under Mourinho and now has a second chance to impress the Portuguese coach.
And Mourinho expects him to set an example for the rest of the squad.
"I think that Crespo could become my friend," admitted Mourinho.
"He knows that who is with me plays, and who is not, does not play.
"People know that I am an honest coach and it is very simple and, at the same time, very difficult to work with me.
"It is easy for those who want to work well and think that the team is more important than himself, but it is very hard for the lazy ones who don't want to work as a team."
Mourinho is going to take a look at Crespo when he plays a World Cup qualifier for Argentina against Brazil while he will also be casting his eye over the Brazilian members of his squad in the same match.
That could provide Adriano the chance to impress the new coach.
The 26-year-old Adriano has been out on loan at Sao Paolo since January, but now Mancini has moved on, the arrival of Mourinho could provide him, like Crespo, with a second chance at Inter.
"Going to see Brazil-Argentina is a signal that my eyes are open," explained Mourinho.
"I will go and speak to my Brazilian and Argentinian players and if Adriano plays, then it would be good for me.
"An Inter player is an Inter player even if he is away on loan, but he has a contract here."
