Siena coach Luigi De Canio announced on Sunday he will quit the Tuscany-based club at the end of the season.
De Canio was speaking on the day Siena secured another season in the top flight despite losing 3-0 at home to Juventus as third-bottom Messina lost 3-0 to Reggina.
De Canio told www.gazzetta.it: "I am not going because the crowd got on my back but because I don't have any more the right conditions to work.
"I consider this result (staying up) a personal success for myself and my boys. It no longer concerns me and I leave wishing everyone a big 'good luck'."
