Heracles Almelo continued their push for European football next season as they came from behind to beat fellow challengers FC Utrecht.
Michael Silberbauer put the visitors ahead after only 15 minutes but Heracles were level eight minutes later through Willy Overtoom and Everton put them ahead soon after the half-hour mark.
Darl Douglas then wrapped up the victory a minute after half-time.
Things were not looking so good for Heracles early on, however, when Nana Asare's corner found the head of Silberbauer and the midfielder nodded home from close range.
Heracles came close to an equaliser five minutes later when Overtoom got up to meet Kwame Quansah's corner but Michel Vorm made a fine save to keep the ball out low to his right.
However, there was nothing he could do moments later when Overtoom drilled the ball home from the edge of the area to level the scores.
Heracles completed the turnaround in the 31st minute as Everton nodded home from close range.
And Utrecht's hopes of getting back into the game were dealt another blow right after the break as Overtoom crossed from the left and Douglas lashed the ball home.
The visitors continued to battle, though, with Dries Mertens testing Martin Pieckenhagen from the edge of the area before Marko Vejinovic curled the ball narrowly over the crossbar.
But there was no way back and it was Heracles who earned the three points that allowed them to move to within two of FC Utrecht and fifth place.
