A week's holiday has done Wolfsburg striker Grafite good as he showed by scoring his first goal since mid-September in Saturday's 2-1 win over Hoffenheim.
The striker, who secured himself the golden boot award last season with a remarkable 28 goals, was sent back to his native Brazil by Wolfsburg coach Armin Veh after he was sent off in the Champions League game against Besiktas on October 21.
On Saturday, he made his comeback and scored the winner for his side in the 57th minute.
"I am very happy about my goal and about the team's win," he said.
"It has done me good to score again. The coach and the team have helped me so much the whole time and I would like to thank them for that."
Grafite was denied the chance to score another goal when the referee failed to award the Wolves a penalty when the 30-year-old forward was fouled by Hoffenheim goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand.
But he insists there will be more chances, and better to come from him.
"I am still only at around 60 to 70 per cent," he added.
