Hertha Berlin coach Lucien Favre thanked the club's fans for turning out en masse to lift his team to their first win in four games on Sunday.
Almost 70,000 turned up to see Berlin snap a run of three consecutive defeats in a come-from-behind victory over Werder Bremen to stay in the Bundesliga title race.
"The atmosphere in the stadium was fantastic," said Favre, whose team are five points behind leaders Wolfsburg.
"After three defeats, to still get so many fans shows that something is happening in Berlin.
"My team showed its character after some difficult times. It was about time we won again."
The only time the fans jeered was when their hero Marko Pantelic was replaced after an hour. The Serbian striker's relationship with Favre has been under the microscope all season, but this time, the coach's decision to replace him was justified by the final result.
"Marko seemed to be running out of energy towards the end because he has been out for a while," explained general manager Dieter Hoeness.
"We won the game so the coach got his decision right."
