Hertha Berlin forward Andriy Voronin has been banned for three games and fined 10,000 euros for his red card in Saturday's Bundesliga defeat to Hannover.
The Ukrainian, on loan from Liverpool, was dismissed for kicking out at opponent Leon Andreasen.
He will now miss Hertha's games at home to Werder Bremen and away to Hoffenheim and Hamburg as the race for the Bundesliga title heats up.
Hertha are five points behind leaders Wolfsburg in fourth.
The 29-year-old apologised for his actions earlier this week.
