Vedad Ibisevic scored two goals as Hoffenheim's impressive start to life in the Bundesliga continued with a comprehensive defeat of Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.
Ibisevic scored five minutes into the game and two minutes after the break with Sejad Salihovic and Carlos Eduardo also getting their names on the scoresheet as Hoffenheim moved up to second in the table, a point behind leaders Schalke.
Dortmund's solitary reply came from Felipe Santana in the final minute.
Hoffenheim surged ahead early on as Tobias Weis crossed into the box and Ibisevic ran on to the ball and slotted past Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller.
The visitors had a chance to equalise in the 18th minute but Nelson Valdez's chip over Hoffenheim goalkeeper Ramazan Ozcan sailed over the crossbar.
Hoffenheim doubled their advantage seven minutes later, Salihovic curling home a free-kick from 25 yards over the wall and into the right corner.
Weidenfeller kept it close by keeping out efforts from Ibisevic in the 27th minute and Demba Ba six minutes later.
But there was nothing he could do when Ibisevic made it 3-0 just after the break.
After a mistake in the Dortmund backline, Ibisevic played it out to Ba who raced down the right side and crossed back in for Ibisevic to grab his sixth goal in five matches.
Ibisevic nearly got a hat-trick in the 52nd minute but was denied by the crossbar.
Hoffenheim did add a fourth goal 15 minutes later as Luiz Gustavo Dias sent Carlos Eduardo clear and the Brazilian slipped the ball past Weidenfeller with a first-time shot.
Felipe Santana pulled one back but it did little to dampen the party atmosphere among the home fans.
