Paris St Germain coasted to victory at Sochaux to leapfrog their rivals into 10th in Ligue 1.

The visitors were 1-0 up at the break thanks to Jeremy Clement's 35th-minute opener; Clement Chantome doubled the lead with a fine individual goal 10 minutes into the second half, and Mevlut Erdinc made it three with a 74th-minute header.

Sochaux got one back via a fine Stephane Dalmat strike five minutes from time, only for Peguy Luyindula to almost immediately restore the advantage.

The hosts began the match in encouraging fashion, Yassin Mikari testing PSG goalkeeper Gregory Coupet with a powerful shot in the fourth minute - tipped round the post for a corner.

Erdinc spurned a good opening inside the penalty area in the 11th minute, and Sochaux's Yassin Mikari did likewise shortly afterwards.

On the half-hour, Teddy Richert was bailed out by Vincent Nogueira's clearance on the line after the Sochaux goalkeeper flapped at a corner and gave Sammy Traore a free header.

PSG's first goal followed a disputed penalty - Luyindula adjudged to have been brought down by Richert. It was Clement who eventually put the ball over the line, after Richert saved Erdinc's initial spot-kick and Chantome's follow-up.

Stephane Sessegnon's mis-directed volley was PSG's first chance of the second half, and Sochaux had an early chance too - Benjamin Gavanon smashing his shot from 25 yards over Coupet's bar.

But it was soon 2-0 - Chantome playing a one-two with Christophe Jallet, taking on and beating Damien Perquis and then chipping the ball over the advancing Richert.

Jallet crossed for Erdinc's sidefoot finish to make it 3-0.

Dalmat responded with a precise and powerful shot past Coupet from 30 yards, but Luyindula beat Richert from inside the area to complete the scoring.
