Toulouse came from behind to snatch a 1-1 draw at Auxerre that took them to second spot in the Ligue 1 table.
Ireneusz Jelen fired Auxerre into the lead in the 25th minute but substitute Bryan Bergougnoux levelled with his first touch nine minutes from time to ensure the visitors took a share of the points.
Tefec move into second spot ahead of the rest of the weekend's fixtures while Auxerre remain 10th.
The visitors started brightly and Andre Pierre Gignac enjoyed a couple of early chances but did not really test Auxerre goalkeeper Olivier Sorin.
Auxerre, who started the month near the drop zone, were looking for a fourth straight win and took the lead in the 25th minute.
Dennis Oliech raced down the right flank and poked the ball to Jelen who beat the offside trap and rushed into the box before coolly slipping the ball under the on-rushing Toulouse goalkeeper Cedric Carrasso.
Toulouse came out after the break seemingly more determined and almost levelled two minutes after the restart as Mohammed Fofana's powerful close-range header crashed off the crossbar and to safety with Sorin beaten.
The visitors should have equalised in the 72nd minute as Fode Mansare muscled his way into the penalty area before seeing his shot parried by Sorin but only as far as Gignac, whose effort was cleared off the line by Cedric Hengbart.
The rebound once again came back to the Toulouse player but his shot was half saved by Sorin before Kamel Chafni headed it off the line.
An equaliser finally came nine minutes from time as Alexandre Bonnet crossed to Bergougnoux who volleyed the ball past an unsighted Sorin from just inside the area.
