Fernando Cavenaghi netted a stoppage-time equaliser as Bordeaux's title aspirations suffered a setback with a 1-1 draw at lowly St Etienne.
Blaise Matuidi put the hosts in front eight minutes into the second half but Cavenaghi headed a last-gasp leveller for Bordeaux to earn a point.
Laurent Blanc's side remained fifth in the standings, while relegation-threatened St Etienne stay in the drop zone.
The first chance fell to Bordeaux when St Etienne failed to clear Yohan Gourcuff's cross from the right before goalkeeper Jeremie Janot claimed the ball.
St Etienne responded on the counter attack when Dimitri Payet found Paulo Machado, who saw his shot saved by Mathieu Valverde.
Valverde denied the hosts again when he saved from Mustapha Bayal Sall, who had latched on to Payet's lofted pass.
Bordeaux finished the first period on top but Janot made a double save, denying Yoan Gouffran from 10 yards before stopping Cavenaghi's close-range strike.

Matuidi shot past Valverde from 15 yards with a fierce left-foot shot after 53 minutes.
Machado hit the woodwork four minutes later but St Etienne could not find a second.
Bordeaux rescued a point following a corner when Marouane Chamakh flicked on to Cavenaghi who headed in from close range.
